My wonderful clients, Cat and Rob, and their two children had a clear brief: to function, to look pretty, to store everything from toddler toys to wine, and for it to become a home that would serve them all equally. Walls went up, others came down… a ‘Murphy Bed’ was put into Cat’s office for their occasional guest — both a space-saving design idea, and oh so much more comfortable than a sofa bed.

The colour palette here was soft, neutral, monochrome. Muted pinks and greens throughout the open-plan space, office, utility, and hallway, following through to the deep green hue of the adult sitting room. A space for Cat and Rob to retire to after dark; a space where the colour-drenched room cocoons — a little trick to deceive the eye of where the wall ends and the ceiling starts.

Megan listened to everything we needed as a family and delivered a home that’s both beautiful and practical. Every space feels considered — from the cosy sitting room to clever touches like the Murphy bed. It’s stylish, calming, and really works for all of us.
